In addition to treating patients, Dr. Vijith is a gifted teacher. At any given point of time, he has resident students studying with him in the traditional gurukula style for some weeks or months.
The acceptance of students is based on their commitment and desire to practice Ayurveda. Dr. Vijith is unconditionally committed to the study of the original texts of Ayurveda; this is a rare privilege as it gives the student the strongest possible foundation in the study of Ayurveda. Students - Westerners and Indians alike - live in his home and study and work with him as part of the extended family.
